When it became possible, I bought 25 tons of Colorado coal for my coal forges, a supply that should last me until about 2020. In addition to the gas forges which I use for production, I like to have the coal forges. They are used to do prototypes, when I want to slow down my pace, and for teaching new blacksmiths.
